On, Noveber 6, 2017, The National Trends and Services Facet facilitated “First Impressions” with the Women of the Way (WOW) Program.
We had a wonderful time earlier this evening at SPC Midtown where Links Lori Taylor, Tia Young and members of National Trends and Services facet facilitated a workshop/discussion and demonstration regarding the topic, “First Impressions: You Never Get a Second Chance to Make a First Impression!!”
Clothing from Women on the Way’s (WOW) clothes-bank was available and we were divided into groups of twos. Each group was given the assignment of selecting both appropriate and inappropriate attire for a job interview. Some of the outfits were hilarious!!! We laughed a lot and the students learned a lot. This is a workshop that is definitely worthy of repeating! Sooooo, if you are unsure of the differences between black tie, white tie, formal and/or semi-formal attire, just check with any of the individuals noted below!!
Many thanks to Links Lori Taylor, Tia Young, Joyce Thornton, June Peterman, Bonnie Davis, Cynthia C. Johnson and Yvonne Alsup for a wonderful and educational workshop.
