Welcome to the official website of the St. Petersburg (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. We are delighted to share insight into WHO we are, WHAT we do, WHERE we gather, HOW transformational our programs are, and WHEN next we will be sharing our “‘Friendship and Service” with you! We are a not-for-profit organization of women who are committed to promoting the ideals of friendship and service. We are a group of women dedicated to continuing the legacy of our Founders who were committed to providing meaningful, purposeful and transformational community service. The Links, Incorporated is an international organization that was founded in 1946 and today has a membership of over 16,000 women in 288 chapters located in 42 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. Members of this organization are influential, proactive and progressive decision makers and leaders who annually have contributed over 1 million hours of documented community service. The organization is the recipient of numerous awards, including the UN Association of New York and the Leon H. Sullivan Foundation for its premier programs. The Links Foundation, Incorporated, the philanthropic arm of The Links, Incorporated, has distributed more than $25 million in charitable contributions since its founding in 1979. In 2018, The Links Foundation, Incorporated named its fifth $1 million grantee – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The St. Petersburg (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was chartered in 1987. Our Chapter currently has a membership of twenty-seven (27) Active members and fifteen (15) Alumna members. The programmatic thrusts of The Links, Incorporated revolves around our five (5) Facets: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services and, Health and Human Services. Our Programs
Services to Youth

The Links, Incorporated created its first program facet, Services to Youth, to empower black youth to use their intellect and spirit of achievement to become successful and productive citizens. Through this facet, we implement transformational programs that are responsive to the academic, cultural, career development, and mentoring needs of youth.  Read more at https://linksinc.org/services-to-youth

The Arts

The goal of The Arts facet is to increase and expand art activity throughout black communities. The Links, Incorporated creates and supports art-related educational opportunities for minority youth as well as presents and supports performances by youth and accomplished professional artists in an array of disciplines. National Trends and Services

The National Trends and Services facet addresses the social inequities that persist in black communities throughout the United States. The Links, Incorporated is committed to raising awareness on economic, health, social justice, and other barriers that affect our quality of life. International Trends and Services

The International Trends and Services facet provides services and delivers transformational programs to people of African ancestry globally so that they may have a better quality of life. Health and Human Services

The Links, Incorporated established the Health and Human Services facet in response to the chronic health disparities that persist in black communities and result in the decreased life expectancy of African Americans and other people of African ancestry.
